Monster Hunter Tri, one of the best "hardcore" titles ever to hit the Wii, was released three years ago. Capcom is trying to rekindle the magic with an updated re-release of the title onto Wii U and 3DS, calling it Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. While it may indeed be a graphically superior game to the Wii original, calling it "ultimate" might be a bit of a stretch.
Holy Moly: Some games take a little while to explain. Not the Monster Hunter series. It's right there in the title. You might even think there were some subtle nuances or possibly just normal nuances being missed, but there really aren't. It is simply a series concerned solely with the process of hunting monsters, and it's huge in Japan. Mostly because these monsters are bloody difficult to kill, and there's only one thing our oriental gaming pals like more than a spiky haired protagonist and that's an unbelievably steep learning curve.
